Two: First and Fourth Graders

Two years
How did you hear about Kirby Hall?
We researched ‘private schools in Austin,’ and discovered Kirby Hall.
What do you love most about Kirby Hall?
We love that our kids are receiving a rigorous classical education at an accelerated rate compared to what is offered at most schools. We also love that this is being done in a way that challenges our children without overwhelming them. They both love being at Kirby Hall and are excited to go to school every morning.
What is one word you would use to describe Kirby Hall?
Excellent!
What are some special experiences you or your child has had from school here?
On our first day of attending Kirby Hall, I was nervous all day about how my children were doing. Were they making friends? Did they feel welcome and comfortable? Had we made the correct decision in selecting Kirby Hall?
When I picked my children up from aftercare, my daughter (who started kindergarten that year) came out the front door saying “buenos dias, buenos dias, buenos dias” with a giant smile on her face. She was so proud of herself for learning that in Spanish class and couldn’t wait to go back the next day.
Our son is really enjoying being on the student council as an extra, non-officer member. He is excited about finding creative ways to bring students together in fun and useful activities.
Also, the parent community at Kirby Hall is so welcoming. It truly feels like a school of families with similar values in education, kindness, and community.
What would you tell a friend about Kirby Hall?
Kirby Hall is a fantastic school to give children a strong, foundational education in an environment that is nurturing, warm, and fun.
