Who We Are

Our program is accelerated, highly personalized, and very challenging. The result of this one-of-a-kind education is exceptional, confident students who perform in the top 10% of the nation on their college entrance exams.

Kirby Hall graduates are accepted to the nation’s top colleges and universities. Our students who matriculate after middle school are welcomed into the area’s best college preparatory high schools.

The upper school remains warm, friendly, and family-like, with students mixing across the grade levels. This is a safe environment – safe to be yourself and to find your voice and to be accepted for just who you are. Our graduates go off to college with a strong sense of self, easily making this transition. We offer seminar-style course work and employ a Socratic methodology, helping our students reach higher-order thinking skills.

Kirby Hall graduates are accepted to the nation’s top colleges and universities, including Middlebury College, Pomona College, Harvey Mudd College, Rice University, University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas at Austin School of Natural Science; University of Texas at Austin Liberal Arts Honors College, and others.

Established in 1976, Kirby Hall has a 100% college attendance rate. A graduate of this school demonstrates a true dedication to his or her studies, foregoing a typical high school experience for an intimate seminar-style classroom, which demands that he or she be motivated and demonstrate a keen intellectual ability. All our middle and upper school courses are taught at a rigorous honors level, employing Pre-AP strategies, or AP level.

“Kirby Hall is where brilliant futures come to life.”

“There are few students coming to us as well prepared as Kirby Hall students.”
– Associate Director of Admissions at a leading national university
